Prosthetic Treatment
Dental Prosthetics
Ogadent offers a wide range of dental prosthetic services with extensive experience and professionalism. Our professionals also regularly attend international and domestic training sessions and conferences in the field to enhance their expertise. In planning prosthetic treatment, several alternative solutions are developed, taking into account different techniques, methods, patient expectations, wishes, and general and oral health situations.
Prosthetics refers to the replacement of missing individual teeth or the entire set of teeth using artificial methods, as well as the repair of damaged teeth by crowning with durable materials, such as ceramics.
Dental prosthetic structures can be either fixed or removable. Removable prostheses are often used as a temporary solution before or during implant treatment. Removable prostheses are also a good treatment method when many teeth have been lost and the prognosis for the remaining teeth is poor.

Removable Dentures
Partial dentures can be made from acrylic or metal and are fitted with plastic teeth. Full dentures are used when all teeth are missing, replacing all the teeth in a jaw and being removable as needed. If the jaw structure is such that the denture does not stay in place well, it can be attached to the mouth with a few implants, greatly improving stability while still allowing the wearer to remove it for cleaning. Both teeth and dentures should be cared for as diligently as natural teeth and regularly checked by a dentist.
Fixed Prosthetic Solutions: Dental Crowns and Bridges
Dental bridges replace missing teeth and are permanently attached to adjacent teeth. The dentist reshapes the teeth to fit the bridge, taking impressions or digital images of the mouth. In collaboration with a dental technician, the missing teeth are replaced with a fixed bridge. Ceramic bridges, crowns, and veneers for aesthetic areas are made by layering differently colored and light-transmitting ceramics. With the rise of implant treatments, bridges are now less common. Implant crowns feel almost like natural teeth, while bridges, where teeth are connected, are harder to clean and feel different when biting.
A dental crown is made when a tooth still has its own root to support a visible tooth. The ceramic crown is manufactured outside the mouth. The dentist shapes the tooth, takes impressions, and sends them to a technician. The technician creates models from the impressions that accurately match the patient’s teeth, using these to craft the crown by milling or pressing.
Once the crown or bridge is ready, it’s cemented onto the tooth. Ceramic fixed prosthetic structures are usually ready for use immediately after fitting. They are made to match the original tooth in shape and appearance, with shape being important for aesthetics and effective chewing.
